Overview
Ensuring the optimal reliability, performance, & security of MineSuperior is an ongoing and never ending task for the team. Most of the time we are able to perform these required software & hardware upgrades behind the scenes with minimal interruptions to the community.
Sometimes however, due to the scale and/or complexity of the required changes, we are required to bring down the entire network for an extended period of time to apply them.
So we'd like to announce that later today MineSuperior will be going into maintenance mode for a period of three hours. This maintenance will be focused improving server performance, upgrading our internal toolkit, and general firmware upgrades for the machines this network runs on.
Maintenance Time
Start: 5pm EST
Duration: 3 hours
End: 8pm EST
In the event we complete our maintenance early, we will remove the whitelists and allow everyone back onto the server ahead of schedule.
The current season of Skyblock has been with us for a very long time, since December 23rd, 2023.
Naturally bringing the question of when Skyblock is having its next reset.
Today we announcing the next season of Skyblock is now in full time development after several months of planning.
We are still fairly early into our work for the next season of Skyblock, so we are unable to commit to any particular timeline yet.
What I can say is that we are aiming to have this upcoming season be substantially improved over our previous seasons.
MineSuperior is home to multiple servers (Skyblock, Lifesteal, Towny, Dungeons, Survival, Events). In an effort to continue
improving transparency, we believe that informing you (the community) that our management team is dedicating time to
work on the next edition of skyblock is a great step towards achieving this goal.
At long last, the Towny Prestige Rework is complete!
We greatly appreciate all of your feedback and patience throughout the process!
Prestige Rewards
Each level of prestige now comes with a wide range of rewards!
These rewards can be previewed inside of /prestige.
The Prestige Crate
Every time you prestige, as part of the rewards you will receive a certain number of Prestige Crate Keys - think of it as a rank-up crate but for prestige.
This crate is preview-able at /warp crates and contains several new rewards such as Prestige Boosts.
Prestige Boosts
Prestige boosts are temporary boosts to job income (and sometimes experience) that last for two weeks.
They can be obtained in the Prestige Crate and provide a substantial boost. For more information, visit the Prestige Boosts menu inside of /prestige.
Other Balances
Several other balances have been made including increase the maximum job level cap increase from 220 > 250.

Refunds
We understand that these changes may not be exactly what everyone was looking for.
If you are still unhappy and would like a refund, please reach out to me directly over discord DMs.
No prestiges after February 21st are refundable.
We will keep refunds available for one week (until March 17th).
If you claim any of the one-off rewards once they are made available, you will no longer be eligible for a refund.

With consideration to recent feedback from the community, management and administration has decided to abstain from future
community polls. In addition, changes will be made for future polls on how feedback is incorporated and counted.
We understand why this was frustrating and agree with the feedback we have received and as such we believe that abstaining from
voting will make the community polls more reflective of what you all want.

The Mechanist has been working behind the scenes on some new machines!
Tier 3 & Tier 4 Seller Collectors
Tier 3 and Tier 4 Seller Collectors are now available to craft in The Mechanist.
Combine and trade in your lower tier Seller Collectors for higher tier collectors!
Tier 2 Elevators
Tier 2 Elevators are now available to craft in The Mechanist!
These elevators can travel up to 64 blocks vertically.

We're excited to announce the release of the Left Twit Claw Machine on Towny and Survival!
What is the Claw Machine
The Claw Machine is a new way to obtain cosmetic items like Collectibles, Staff Plushies, Nameplates, and more!
Keep your eyes open, the newly released Rat Hat, Chef Hat, Love Bear, and Box of Chocolates are also in the Claw Machine!
Where can I find the Claw Machine
The Left Twit Claw Machine can be found inside of Left Twit's building in spawn, or by going to /warp LeftTwit.
Where can I get keys for the Claw Machine
Left Twit sells Left Twit Claw Machine keys in packages of (x1, x3, x5, and x10).
Larger packages come with larger discounts, which means you save more by buying more!
What will happen to the Cosmetic crate
Cosmetic Crate keys have been grandfathered in to work with Left Twit Claw Machine.
The Cosmetic Crate itself will be leaving Survival and Towny in the near future.
Adjustments
As many of you are already aware, significant adjustments have been made to the boosts in max level for cook and brewer that come with the prestige ranks.
I made these changes in-game about a day ago and got sidetracked so there was no announcement/changelog posted so my apologies for that.
Reasoning
The reasoning behind these adjustments is simple:
The doubling of the max levels for cook and brewer puts far too much strain on the long-term health of the economy on Towny.
As evidenced by the history of Towny servers on our network, we expect Reborn to last for years to come and we do not want to shorten this lifespan by exploding the amount that the richest players are able to make.
Re-Balancing
In an effort to ensure those who already put money into the prestige ranks didn't waste their money, I am currently investigating better ways to make this worth it.
If you have suggestions for perks you would like to see at the prestige ranks, please DM me directly on discord and we can discuss.
I am not opposed to adding things as they come, and as many of you already know, I have already done that.
I am currently working on adding cosmetic rewards (such as tags and nameplates) for reaching each prestige and also buffing max levels for jobs outside of cook and brewer. We will also look into the possibility of additional rewards earned each time you prestige.
I apologize for the abruptness of these changes and I completely understand your frustrations.
I hope that the solutions I offer over the coming weeks will help to ease some of these concerns and look forward to hearing from y'all about what you would like this system to become!
Netherite Drop Parties
We have introduced a new community goal for Valentines!
This community goal will active Netherite Drop Parties when the goal is met.
How does it work
The Java Edition webstore now has a community goal that tracks purchases for the Valentines Shout + 500 Coins package.
For every $100 USD spent on that coins package, a Netherite Drop Party will spawn on Towny and Survival at the same time!
Why the "Valentines Shout + 500 Coins" package
We wanted to celebrate the Valentines spirit of love and chose this package to reflect that goal.
Will there be more community goals in the future
We are using this community goal to gauge interest in future community goals.

Job Buffs
Various buffs have been implemented for miner, cook, and farmer.

Town Upkeep Adjustments
After many years and an ever-evolving economy, the decision has been made to increase town upkeeps.
We are currently leaning towards an increase from a base upkeep of $250 -> $750 meaning upkeeps would triple.
These changes would not go live until Sunday, February 9th.

Introducing Coins ATM
Coins ATM is a brand new way to share some of your coins with another player.
How does it work
In /spawn there is a Coins ATM NPC with purchasable Coins tokens.
These Coins tokens are redeemable just like Chat Emoji tokens.
How much does it cost
Currently there is a 500 coins, 1000 coins, and 2500 coins token available.
The price of each token is 15% more than the amount of coins the token rewards.

Introducing Shopmaster
Shopmaster is a new town rank that can remove chest shops in their town.
Where can Shopmasters remove chest shops?
Shopmasters can only remove chest shops from plots owned by a town.
If a plot is owned by a player, that player must first be evicted or abandon their claim.
Afterwards, a Shopmaster is then able to remove the chest shops left behind.
Who can assign shopmasters?
Town Mayors and Co-Mayors can assign any town member as a Shopmaster.
Additionally Mayors and Co-Mayors also have the abilities of a Shopmaster.
On December 15, 2024 (US East), The Witchdoctor will be departing from Towny to travel the realms in search for magical artifacts, potions, and more!

The Mechanist
Introducing The Mechanist, a specialized NPC in `/spawn` that offers unique items.
The mechanist loves Cerulean, creativity, ingenuity, and most importantly, your time.
Cerulean
Cerulean are new reagents (item currencies) used by The Mechanist:
To flex your future Cerulean wealth, check the "Extras" tab in The Mechanist. ;)
Elevators
Elevators allow you to teleport vertically upward (jump) and downward (sneak) when standing on them.
You can now obtain elevators by getting The Mechanist to create them!
Spawner Upgrades
Specific spawners can now be exchanged for better spawners in The Mechanist.
Spawner upgrades take resources and time for the mechanist to perform.
Feedback & Improvement
We are excited to see how we can improve and expand upon The Mechanist in the future,
including but not limited to: adjustments to Cerulean availability/pricing/etc,
and what is available from The Mechanist npc in spawn.
