Throughout dungeons, crates, and the overworld, you are able to obtain various custom metals.
Metals are used to craft various tools, weapons, armor, and quest items.
Current metals ranked in terms of strength (1 being the weakest, 8 being the strongest):
The most efficient way to gather metals is by playing dungeons.
Each ore is obtainable through loot chests and by breaking the ore itself.
All ores are easily identifiable with the exception of tungsten which looks like deepslate iron ore.
Each metallic ore is found in the dungeon number that corresponds to its ranking in the list above.
For example, abyssal is found in dungeon 3 and spectre is found in dungeon 7.
All ores are obtainable in Mythic Crates (purchasable with coins).
To use metals, find the right blacksmith to trade your metals for what they can offer.
Smithing powder is a necessity when dealing with blacksmiths.
You cannot craft weapons if you do not have smithing powder.
There are currently four tiers: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Epic.
As with most items, the best way to obtain smithing powder is through the dungeons themselves.
Unlike metals though, the only way to obtain smithing powder in dungeons is by looting chests and killing bosses.
Smithing powder is used alongside Metals to craft various armors, tools, and weapons via blacksmiths.
Flasks are a crucial part of progressing on Dungeons.
Dungeons must be unlocked by trading flasks (along with other items / requirements) with the Gatekeeper at spawn.
You can use /warps
to quickly teleport to the Gatekeeper!
There are currently two tiers of flasks:
Flasks are obtainable in crates, but the best way to get them is to purchase them through traders.
Traders in the various towns in the overworld will give you a flask for right amount of respective gemstones.
All traders and quest givers in the overworld require most items be traded for gemstones.
These are not only important for purchasing items like fishing rods, but are also key to progressing on dungeons.
For 10 gemstones, you can purchase one flask: helping you move toward unlocking your next dungeon.
There are currently two tiers of gemstones:
You can obtain gemstones through:
/cshop
.
Think of gemstones as dollars and shards as cents.
Shards are occasionally required by traders to purchase certain items, but are more often used for crafting shards through traders.
They are obtained the same way as gemstones and currently have the same two tiers (sapphire and crimsonite).
Each dungeon contains at least two unique quest items.
These items are always used to complete each dungeon's respective looter and hunter quest.
To know if an item is a quest item, hover over it in your inventory and read the lore.
If the lore reads “Dungeon # Quest Item” it is a quest item in the dungeon # given.
