Welcome to Lifesteal!
Lifesteal is a PvP-focused gamemode where your combat skills are essential to ensure survival.
The world is lawless; there are no claims, no keep inventory, and raiding is allowed.
This gamemode requires strategy and planning if you want to succeed.
Building underground and hiding your entrance are good strategies to keep your base safe.
Teaming up can be helpful in gaining power and winning battles against other players, but be careful who you trust!
If you are unlucky, your teammate may turn around and betray you!
The heart system is a unique feature on Lifesteal. You start out with 10 hearts upon joining the server for the first time.
Every time you get killed by another player, you will lose one heart.
When killing another player they will drop their heart in the form of an item, which you can either use or store somewhere safe for later.
Consume hearts and add them to your total by left- or right-clicking while holding them in your hand.
You can only gain up to a maximum of 100 hearts.
You can also get hearts from the Heart Crate in spawn.
Keys for this crate can be bought from the Crate Merchant or from /cshop
.
If you die enough times and lose all of your hearts you will receive a Death Ban.
This means that you will be temporarily locked out of the Lifesteal gamemode for a set amount of time. The default Death Ban duration is 48 hours; this may be shorter depending on your rank.
When the Death Ban is expired, you will start over with only 5 hearts.
If you have been eliminated and don't want to wait until your Death Ban expires, do not worry!
Other players can help revive you, skipping the waiting time.
You may revive an eliminated player by sacrificing 10 of your own hearts.
This is done by using the command /ls revive <ign>
More information about Lifesteal commands can be found here.
Revive Beacons are special Lifesteal items that can revive a specified player.
This method, however, is not guaranteed to be successful.
Revive Beacons can be acquired by winning them from crates.
Before using a Revive Beacon, you must bind it to an eliminated player.
Do this by using the /bind <ign>
command while holding the Revive Beacon.
Make sure that you are holding only one Revive Beacon when binding it to someone; if you are holding a stack of 2 or more it will be set to 1 after binding.
After placing down a bound Revive Beacon, it's location is broadcast to everyone on the server.
It is your job to protect the beacon until it's timer ends.
When the time is up (if you have successfully protected the Revive Beacon), the eliminated player bound to the Beacon will be revived!
The amount of time you need to defend a Revive Beacon for depends on it's tier.
There are 3 tiers of beacons, with different revive times:
Tier 1 | 120 seconds |
Tier 2 | 90 seconds |
Tier 3 | 60 seconds |
