¶ Getting started with Generators
Building and mining from generators is the main way to get valuable materials on Skyblock.
To start, generators only produce a few materials and minerals.
Upgrading your generator level in /is upgrades (or by completing certain island missions) will improve your generators and increase the odds of better materials.
The Generator Boost upgrade is global across your island and will apply to any currently built and future generators.
Generator Boost maxes out at Level 5.
There are two types of generators: Cobblestone generators and Basalt generators.
Cobblestone generators are built in the Overworld, while Basalt generators have to be built in the Nether.
¶ Cobblestone Generators
Cobblestone generators produce stone and most types of overworld minerals.
The full list of materials, as well as which level of generator will unlock them, is as follows:
- Stone (Default)
- Coal Ore (Default)
- Redstone Ore (Level 2)
- Lapis Lazuli Ore (Level 3)
- Iron Ore (Level 3)
- Gold Ore (Level 4)
- Diamond Ore (Level 4)
- Emerald Ore (Level 4)
¶ Basalt Generators
Basalt generators produce basalt, a few nether blocks and most types of nether minerals.
The full list of materials, as well as which level of generator will unlock them, is as follows:
- Basalt (Default)
- Quartz Ore (Level 2)
- Nether Bricks (Level 2)
- Nether Gold Ore (Level 2)
- Blackstone (Level 3)
- Gilded Blackstone (Level 3)
- Ancient Debris (Level 4)

Materials required:
- 1 Water Bucket
- 1 Lava Bucket

Materials required:
- 1 Blue Ice
- 1 Soul Soil
- 1 Lava Bucket
¶ Pro Tips
¶ Recovering from accidental obsidian
We've all been there, accidentally building a cobblestone generator wrong and losing our lava from it turning into obsidian.
Luckily there's an easy solution for that!
Right click that obsidian with an empty bucket and it will turn back into lava!
¶ Compact Cobblestone Generators
If you want a smaller, more compact Cobblestone Generator design, you can use waterlogged leaves instead of flowing water.
This allows the water source to be only 1 block wide, without risking that the lava turns into obsidian.
