You may notice that you may have received an invite to join a town.
We will go over towns in more depth in a bit.
For now, you need to make a decision of your desired playstyle.
If you are unsure of what your playstyle is, let's establish the many goals of Towny.
Once you have decided on your goals, there are two different playstyles you can choose to start.
Both have pros and cons.
Please note that just because you make a decision now, there are no final ones made when it comes to your playstyle.
¶ Joining a Town
If you decide to accept an invitation, there will be varying benefits like:
- Allotted Land that you can build on.
- Joining a community.
- Help obtaining a rank (in game, not IRL).
However, you may struggle with:
- Land size.

¶ Creating a town
If you decide to set out on your own, there will be varying benefits like:
- Freedom (no restrictions on land).
- Ability to do everything yourself.
However, you may struggle with:
- Finding a community.
- Gaining balance to rank-up.
- Claiming your land.
